Lindsey Bensinger was born and raised Union, both her parents have each successfully worked in the industry for over 30 years. With such a strong Union upbringing, Lindsey followed in her parents’ footsteps by working in a Union job that provided the same benefits that were so valuable to her growing up.
In June of 1996, Lindsey was hired at Ralphs Grocery Company. She worked as a courtesy clerk and was promoted to the bakery department. She loved working there, helping customers and doing artistic work in the bakery.
In October of 2002 a position opened up at the Union, Lindsey was hired on staff at UFCW Local 135. She started in the Insurance Department, and then moved over to membership department, where she had the chance to work with the Contract Enforcement Department, traveling and supporting the Union Representatives. For the past nine years Lindsey has been lead of the Membership Department, at 13,000 strong. Lindsey manages the accounts receivable and reconciliation of members’ dues accounts for the Local. Lindsey does event coordination and directs the assembly of charity events, such as the UFCW Local 135 Charity Golf Classic, which raises money for research for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help members in need. When Lindsey isn’t at work, she loves to spend time with her family.
Lindsey is a strong team builder and demonstrates keen work ethics and hard work.
